Causes of early menopause

Menstruation is not an eternal cycle. It comes to an end at menopause. Sometimes, this end comes a little earlier than expected. What are the causes?

Heredity

Menopause is defined as the definitive end of menstruation between the ages of 45 and 50. Its precocity intervenes on the other hand before the forties. It is a biological phenomenon that is far from being harmless. It can be the result of a hereditary character. 

Numerous scientific studies have proven that in more than 30% of cases, early menopause has a family history. Either it originates from the father's side or the menopausal woman suffers from the same situation as a grandmother from the mother's side. It is then up to the affected person to look for the family origin of her illness.

The consequence of certain diseases

Menopause is not only the reverse side of heredity. It can be provoked by the afflictions of certain pathologies. Fragile X syndrome is one of them. The ovarian insufficiency that it causes in the woman who suffers from it puts a premature end to her menstruation. 

Addition disease is another pathology that can also be blamed. It prevents the adrenal glands from producing enough hormones. The ovarian follicles are de facto waging a merciless war against the body. In addition to this war, chemotherapy and radiation therapy also contribute to the cessation of menstruation in women.

Smoking

This last cause comes to throw a paving stone in the pond of these categories of women who like to consume cigarettes and its derivatives. Is it still appropriate to remind these women of the harmful nature of nicotine, shisha ...? Don't they know that the consumption of tobacco or pesticides affects the stock of ovarian follicles? Moreover, if toxic substances do not do any favors to the human organism as a whole, it is not the menstrual period that will benefit from some favor from this poison to human health.
